Happiness is what you choose, what you follow, not what follows you. Tilly Farmer, the main character, fights with herself and those around her as her self-made; self-maintained world starts to crumble after a chance meeting with an old friend. She represents what is in all of us - lost dreams, lost hope, lost faith as she realizes that the world - her world - isn't what it has always seemed. Sometimes I think we all struggle and fight to build, create and sustain lives that we think should exist...we try to make things be what we want them to be when in the end what we find is we're not the ones with control anyway - even if we do know what is coming our way.
