Read, Run, Ramble

I had a hard time "getting into" this first book in the series. I, like many others, have seen the Narnia movies that are now out and that may have had a little to do with it, but mostly Uncle Andrew and the witch were just non-interesting, irritating characters. I did find that a little over 1/2 way through, after Aslan enters the scene, that things "picked up". Having been assured that the other books in the series are better and that this one really is just used to get started and to frame the other stories, I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
