Elsie Porter definitely knows what it is like to have life break her. The product of a less-than-stellar childhood, she isn't even sure how it feels to be loved completely - accepted for who she is, but when she meets Ben, that changes. The two get caught up in a whirlwind romance that takes them from newly dating to married in a short period of time. For those who might be skeptical of such a quick romance, let me reassure you, Reid writes it well and it is nothing but believable and you'll fall head over heels in love with both of them!

This story isn't your typical love story in more than one way though and it is full of heartbreak and readers will want a box of tissue at hand. Elsie goes from blushing bride to mourning widow in a matter of nine days, and she still hasn't met her mother-in-law, Susan, who doesn't even know that her son is married.

Forever, Interrupted is the story of Elsie's and Ben's courtship and love, Elsie's and Susan's grief, and it is a story of life - how it breaks us and we move on in the best way we can.

I loved this book from beginning to end. Reid has woven the content together in a perfect way - PERFECT. And she has created a love story that will break your heart while simultaneously warming it. If you have time for one more book this summer, this one should be it!
